The Mojo Story
House of Mojo did not begin with a business plan. It began with a belief that buying, selling, and owning property on the Costa del Sol could be a fundamentally better experience than what most international clients were getting.
When Per Mønsted and Jacob Johansen founded Mojo Estates in 2017, they set out to build an agency that operated differently — one that represented clients properly, negotiated with data, and stayed involved long after the keys were handed over. What they discovered quickly was that completing a sale was only the beginning of what people actually needed. Buyers needed legal support they could trust. Sellers needed to understand their real net profit before they listed. Clients who purchased a property needed someone to look after it, furnish it, rent it out, and maintain it to a standard worth caring about.
Long before the yachts, the Golden Mile, and the designer boutiques, Marbella had a story worth knowing. This is the history of one of the Costa del Sol’s most iconic destinations — how it grew from an ancient settlement into the luxury capital of southern Spain, and why it continues to attract buyers, investors, and dreamers from across the world. If you are considering a life or an investment here, understanding where Marbella comes from puts everything else in context.
Built by client demand
So they built the answers in-house. A legal department. A finance team. A media and marketing operation. A rental management company. An eco-friendly cleaning service with its own laundry facility. An architectural and interior design studio. A co-ownership model for those who wanted a luxury Costa del Sol property without full ownership. An investment division for those who wanted to put their capital to work in the market they had come to trust. And Mette — a proprietary AI agent built specifically for House of Mojo, handling thousands of enquiries a year, around the clock, so that no client ever had to wait for an answer.
None of it was planned from the start. Every service exists because a client needed it and the team refused to look the other way. Today, House of Mojo is a 55-person organisation spanning six companies, recognised by the European Property Awards as Spain’s leading real estate agency and by the Luxury Lifestyle Awards as one of the Top 100 Real Estate Agencies in the World.
